As a club\, they raise money each year for scholarships available to White Pine High School seniors to further their post-secondary education. \nThe car club is open for all makes and models\, including motorcycles\, and is primarily composed of hotrods\, classics and muscle cars from the ’40s through the ’80s. Members go on cruises attending shows displaying their cars\, showcasing their rolling works of art\, and speaking with other car fans. \nThey may not have as many cars as Seinfeld or Leno but\, between all their members\, they have drivers and an exciting collection. These shows are made for families\, friends\, and blankets in the grass. \n \nAugust 24th – Andrew Sheppard \nAndrew Sheppard Bio: \nAndrew is a singer/ songwriter and performer who recently gave a remarkable performance on the NBC Television show\, American Song Contest. He competed on behalf of Idaho playing his new single “Steady Machine”\, which is available now on all streaming platforms. Andrew was born and raised in Hailey\, Idaho\, and moved to Los Angeles after high school where he honed his skills as a writer and musician. Missing the mountains\, he eventually made his way back to Idaho. But his travels frequently take him back to L.A. as well as Nashville\, TN\, which he also called home for awhile. Andrew’s music is honest\, accessible and just plain good to listen to. DESCRIPTION:McGill’s Annual Labor Day Weekend\nCome join the White Pine Community in McGill to celebrate McGill’s Annual Labor Day weekend. \n \nWe will be kicking off the festivities with a parade on Main Street. Line up for the parade will be behind the McGill grade school at 5:30 p.m. . The parade will start at 4th and Avenue G and go to 4th and Avenue K where the street dance will begin. There will be locals selling food! The McGill volunteer fire department will have a full bar set up for your enjoyment. Please drink responsibly. The street dance will go from 6:30 p.m. to 11 pm. \nSaturday at the McGill Swimming Pool there will be the annual “Big Splash” town barbecue starting at 11 a.m. The McGill town council has provided free hot dogs and hamburgers for the community . We will also have vendor booths\, a bounce house for all kids to enjoy and other activities. Please remember the McGill Swimming Pool is free and they have they’re big splash for the end of summer with all kind of games for children. \nSunday starting at 4:00 p.m. at the McGill baseball park we will have our softball game McGill fire department vs White Pine County Sheriff’s Office. There is a $2 gate fee all proceeds will go to the MRA for the ballpark fund. Fireworks will be provided by Great Basin Pyrotechnics at 9 p.m. at the McGill ballpark.
