Both changed the way we travel\, but which will prevail on September 11 at the Race The Rails? At the sound of the train whistle\, mountain and road bikers race to see who can get back to the depot before the train. \nMountain bikers test their speed and agility on a challenging 10 mile course through the beautiful mountains surrounding Ely\, while road bikers prove their speed and endurance on a 25 mile course along roads and highways in the area. Everyone who finishes the course will receive a finisher’s medal. \nThis is not a regular race against time\, or your fellow riders. It’s a race against one of histories most powerful inventions! In the nearby Great Basin National Park\, travelers have the chance to descend into the depths of the Lehman Cave system to explore a series of limestone and marble caverns full of huge stalagmites and other wild rock formations. DESCRIPTION:High School/Junior Rodeo\nCome and support the White Pine Rodeo Club at the Ely\, NV High School Junior Rodeo. It all starts on September 10th and runs until the 12th. The first day\, however\, is the .22 Rifle and Shotgun Competition\, open to the public at the Steptoe Valley TST fundraiser for the High School Rodeo. \nSaturday’s events start at 9 am with a day full of team roping\, bull riding\, barrel racing\, pole bending\, and so much more. A fundraiser hosted by the White Pine Chamber of Commerce\, and held at the Bristlecone Convention Center\, this will be an evening Beatles fans will not forget. \nRemembering the Fab Four! That’s what this Beatles tribute band is all about. From their convincing Liverpudlian accents and Beatles wit to their pointed boots and totally fab gear\, what you’ll experience during their show is pure magic. It’s like seeing the Beatles in concert for the first time! \nThe four lads joined in 1993 and have performed more than 1000 shows across the United States and abroad. Over the years the group has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such notable acts as the Beach Boys\, Jay Leno\, Chicago\, Three Dog Night\, Carrie Underwood\, America\, Glen Campbell\, the Temptations\, The Commodores\, The Mandrell Sisters\, Badfinger and others. \nTix are $25/person or reserve a table for 10 for $250.
