This time we will read Canoeing With The Cree by famed journalist Eric Sevareid (he spent more than a decade as a television correspondent on CBS Evening News.)\n\nThe book describes the adventure of Sevareid and his fellow high school friend. Walter Port\, as they embark on a 2\,250 mile canoe trip from Minneapolis to York Factory on the Hudson Bay. They did this as teenage novices without the aid of motors\, communication or even good maps. The journey took them four months\, and included shooting hundreds of rapids and portaging through wilderness.
