DESCRIPTION:Annual Winter Weeds Conference\nThe Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition and Tri-County Weed Control invite you to attend the Annual Winter Weeds Conference. This conference is for private landowners\, local officials\, state and federal agency officials and others who have responsibilities for vegetation management. Topics may include Cooperative Weed Management Areas (CWMAs)\, biocontrol\, Early Detection Rapid Response EDRR)\, Industry\, Safety\, and Weed Ecology to name a few.\nContinuing Education Units (CEUs) required for ongoing pesticide applicator certification with the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) will be offered at this conference and all future Winter Weeds Conferences. NDA will administer the pesticide applicators license exam the final day of the conference. \nSeveral Confirmed Conference Topics:\n1. How Herbicides Work Influences Their Selection\n2. Strategies and Tools for Effective Early Detection Rapid Response\n3. Noxious Weed Control on Banks and Restoration Sites\n4. Pinyon Juniper Thinning\, Removal\, and Reseeding in the Great Basin\n5. Partnering with ENLC and Improving Landscape Health in the BLM Carson City District Office \nOn-site registration will be available at a higher rate.
