It’s like seeing the Beatles in concert for the first time! \nThe four lads joined in 1993 and have performed more than 1000 shows across the United States and abroad. DESCRIPTION:Bristlecone Birkebeiner Winterfest\nThe Bristlecone Birkebeiner is a multi-sport winter event at the Ward Mountain Recreation Area\, North Trailhead held on January 15th. Event options are cross-country ski\, snowshoe\, or fat tire bike!\nThe Cross-country Ski Long Course will traverse the Birkebeiner Loop (D Loop). The Cross-country Ski Short Course and Snowshoe Course will follow the Connector Trail to the Birkebeiner Loop. The Kids Ski course is an out-and-back on the Shelter Connector Trail. And the Fat Tire Bike course is a loop using the Birkebeiner Loop\, Atta Boy Loop\, and Revenue Loop Trails.\n\n \n\n\nSchedule of Events:\n8:00 am – Long Course Cross-country Ski – $40\n8:10 am – Short Course Cross-country Ski – $30\n8:30 am – Fat Tire Bike – $40\n8:35 am – Snowshoe – $30\n9:30 am – Kids Cross Country Ski – $15\n\nWeather is unpredictable in Ely. Sometimes there is enough snow\, sometimes there is barely enough snow\, or sometimes there is none! If there isn’t enough snow\, their will be a Long and Short Course Trail Run\, and a Kids Trail Run that follows the same trails as the cross-country ski events. Pedal your bike to the top of the mountain and then you are timed at specific sections of the course. There will be 2-6 timed sections\, mostly twisty downhills and sprint sections. The sum of the times on these special tests will determine the winner.\n\nThe event takes place on BLM and USFS administered lands under special use permits.\n\nMen’s and women’s events for all classes.\n\nFun Run: Shorter in length and less climbing than the beginner class\, 2 timed sections\nBeginner Class: 17.5 miles\, 2\,300′ elevation gain\, 3 timed sections\nSport Class: 26.6 miles\, 3\,500′ elevation gain\, 4 timed sections\nExpert/Pro Class: 33.3 miles\, 5\,400′ elevation gain\, 6 timed sections\nBe prepared for the weather. DESCRIPTION:Lund Pioneer Days 2022\nLund Pioneer Days 2022 begins both on Friday\, July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd with Team Roping at Lanes Area. On Friday\, look forward to an old-fashioned rodeo with bull riding\, open breakaway\, steer riding\, barrel racing\, team roping\, calf roping\, and much more\, starting at 5:00 p.m. And don’t forget the Western Family Dance at 9:00! \nOn Saturday\, of course\, park and view the Pioneer Day Parade starting at 9:30 a.m. Expect floats\, antique cars\, horses and a variety of entertainers progressing through downtown\, followed by a Special Presentation at 11:00 a.m.\, a BBQ dinner at noon\, plus children’s games and adult horseshoes\, with vendor booths close by. A rodeo in the late afternoon and a fireworks show at dusk end the two-day event in spectacular fashion. \nThis is one of our favorite and historic weekends in White Pine County.
