What more could you want? \nThe White Pine Rodders Car club is a not-for-profit organization for the car enthusiast. They have a devoted passion for cars  and classics alike.  As a club\, they each year raise money for  scholarships available to White Pine High School seniors to further  their post-secondary education. \nThe car club is open  for all makes and models including motorcycles. Primarily composed of hotrods\, classics and muscle cars from the ’40  thru the ’80s.  Members go on cruises attending shows displaying their  cars\, showcasing rolling works of art and speaking with other cars  fans. \nThey may not have as many cars as Seinfeld or Leno\, but\, between all of their members\, they have a diverse exciting collection. Pedal your bike to the top of the mountain and then you are timed at specific sections of the course. There will be 2-6 timed sections\, mostly twisty downhills and sprint sections. The sum of the times on these special tests will determine the winner.\n\nThe event takes place on BLM and USFS administered lands under special use permits.\n\nMen’s and women’s events for all classes.\n\nFun Run: Shorter in length and less climbing than the beginner class\, 2 timed sections\nBeginner Class: 17.5 miles\, 2\,300′ elevation gain\, 3 timed sections\nSport Class: 26.6 miles\, 3\,500′ elevation gain\, 4 timed sections\nExpert/Pro Class: 33.3 miles\, 5\,400′ elevation gain\, 6 timed sections\nBe prepared for the weather. We have had everything from hot and sunny to very wet and snowing. \nAfter-party/awards ceremony at Bristlecone Convention Center\nRacers eat free\, others will need purchase wristband for $10.\n\nThe event is also great for visitors. Music and celebrating all day at Broadbent Park. The film festival also gives attendees the chance to meet the directors and crew and engage in discussion about those films. Local and amateur directors are encouraged to submit their short film to be incorporated into the festival. Locations include the beautiful historic Ely Central Theater\, The Postal Palace\, and the Bristlecone Convention Center. \n \nFriday\, March 12th\, 2021\n5:30-6:00pm: Opening Celebration and Virtual Cocktail Party\nOn-line participation via Zoom Facebook\, and Instagram. During the Crafter’s festival\, Santa Claus will be available to visit with the children. His schedule will be posted at the Convention Center. Alana Wise will be taking pictures and prints can be ordered directly from her.
