DESCRIPTION:Take it to the Lake Half Marathon & 10K\nTake it to the Lake Half Marathon & 10K takes place on September 20 in the beautiful Schell Creek Mountains outside Ely\, NV and ends at Cave Lake State Park! We also offer a one-mile kids fun run!\nAll routes\, but the kids fun run\, are on a dirt road. The half marathon is challenging 6.5 mile run up and over Success Summit (1\,601 ft elevation gain!)\, with the rest all downhill but the last half mile. The 10K starts on Success Summit and a fast downhill (except the last half mile)!\n\n\n\nTrophies will be awarded to the top three male and female in the half marathon\, relay\, and 10K. Everyone gets a race t-shirt and a finisher medal! SUMMARY:Fire and Ice Winter Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Fire and Ice Winter Festival is a celebration of all that White Pine County offers during the winter months. The community wide festival will have multiple events throughout the area for people of all ages. Locations include Nevada Northern Railway\, Cave Lake State Park\, Downtown businesses\, Ward Mtn Recreation Area. Bring the entire family down for activities around sports\, arts\, food and drink\, tournaments\, live music and more. This year the weather has cooperated and there will be Snow Sculptures at Cave Lake. Teams that are interested in competing should contact us at the Convention Center.
