Turkey Vulture Stretch 5k 2026

Welcome spring and the turkey vultures back to Ely, with the Turkey Vulture Stretch 5k 2026. Every March, the turkey vultures return to Ely after a relaxing winter in South America.  This run is to honor these not-so-pretty birds and welcome them and spring back to Ely!

This year, the route is at Steptoe Park. You might even have a chance of seeing a turkey vulture with its wings outstretched in a tree.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 female, top 3 male, top 3 kids (10 yrs and younger), and top 3 seniors (55+). To be eligible for awards, you MUST be chipped timed.
